 Countdown 3-2-1...
2002-08-19 - 12:30 a.m.

Yeah... three days before I move away from home. The first time I escape my parents for more than 3 days. And the only time in my life where I'm going and know absolutely no one... Even when I moved around all the time when I was little... I always knew someone... (Tidbit: I had lived in 13 places by the time I was 7 years old.) So... yeah... I'm terrified. I'm already homesick for my friends, because I haven't seen most of them in months. Bleh. There's just somthing unfulfilling about this whole situation... I just feel so empty.

Anyway... moving past the depression talking... uhm... what is funny?... Failure, bleh. I spent the weekend with my grandparents. Debbie picked me up in Santa Fe and I went with her from there. Anywho... somthing that ammused me was that... we always have our little jobs. My aunt made potatoes, my grandma tortillas, me eggs, and my grandpa toast. (Debbie slept through breakfast) I just thought it was ammusing how some people avoided the eggs, some the potatoes, but even though the toast was WAY burnt, EVERYONE ate the toast. Just because my grandpa made it... funny stuff. Oh, and because I was coming, and it was the last time I was going to see my grandparents for a while. (I usually just go one day or the other every weekend) my grandma made macaroni and cheese.

They're not going to let me live this down, ever. When I was little, my grandma took me to the store with her. Some old ladies were talking to me, and asked if my grandma was a good cook. That I said... "Oh yes, she makes the best macaroni and cheese." Or somthing like that. My grandpa tells me that every time my grandma makes that. It's pretty embarrassing after a while.

Anyway... Tessie and Patricia were at my grandparents house... very scary. Tessie and my grandma got in a fight maybe 6 or 7 years ago and they hadn't talked since. Patricia is Tessie's daughter and she has not interest in staying good with the family... I doubt she has any interests in anything, considering she is 27, not married, still in school, nowhere near graduating, and living in a different place every semester
