I was wondering if it was adressed as a sin in the bible, so I asked some people who know the bible very well... These are the verses they just spit out, off the top of their head. Leviticus 20:13 13 " 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Of course this is from the old testiment, so a person would not be put to death, but still... It is "detestable" pretty strong words. Genesis 19 is the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. It tells how God took out an entire tribe of men, because they tried to rape his angels that were disguised as men. Romans 1:22-27 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. 24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen. 26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. The penalty for their perversions... ouch. Presently, people would equate that to prolly STD's. Did you know that 40% of people in the US that have AIDS are men that contracted it from anal sex? 1Corinthians 6:9-11 9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Interesting how they compare people who are sexually impure with people who worship idols. Heh... 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. They made it pretty apparent that it is a sin... now this. I guess... no more sex 'til marriage. Hrm... I dunno if this explains anything to other people, but it helped me. Oh well, TTYL ~TK
